Who are we?
We're a cool, young, London-based lingerie, nightwear and swimwear brand, with 27 stores across the UK and a thriving ecommerce business at www.bouxavenue.com. Founded in April 2011, our core aesthetic is described as a blend of sweet and the sexy, with our collections designed by our in-house team. Pitched at what we call an 'accessible luxury' price tag, our reputation is founded not only on the femininity of its products, but also on their quality, comfort and fit, backed up with the offer of a free and expert bra fit service in all stores. No matter what your age, size or style, Boux Avenue is an inclusive brand for everybody. Available in sizes 28-40, A-H cups and sizes 6-18. With an unrivalled eye for detail and passion for customer service, Boux Avenue is your ultimate destination whether you're looking for everyday essentials or something a little sexier.
The Role
We’re now looking for a PR powerhouse to keep our incredible momentum going while our current PR Manager is on maternity leave. As our PR Manager (Mat Cover), you will be a guardian of our brand voice and the driving force behind our media presence. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of our PR strategy, from high-impact product launches (like our upcoming Swimwear collections) to maintaining our always-on press office.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Overview: Responsible for planning and delivering all PR campaigns in line with business objectives and product launch plans, ensuring that the KPIs for coverage are hit every month.
- Elevating: Improving the level of coverage to include brand focused content as well as collection/product focused coverage, while scoping new opportunities for increasing brand awareness and profile-building through strategic PR activities.
- Media Relations: Maintain and grow the brand's contacts across national, regional and trade press.
- Campaign Management: Execute our collection launches, ensuring brand messaging is both aspirational but also commercial and consistent across print and digital platforms.
- International Strategy: Support the brand's entry into new international markets via online wholesale partners through localized PR toolkits and global outreach.
- Sample Management: Oversee the flow of samples to press while monitoring the sample budget.
- Cut-Out Photography Management: Manage the production of cut-out photography of sheer or revealing products for use by press and online.
- Press Events: Conceptualise and execute creative press events to attract targeted press, to result in positive coverage.
- Reporting: Track PR value and coverage against weekly and monthly KPIs, and provide weekly competitor reporting to the wider business.
What we would like to see in you
- Experience: 5+ years in fashion PR (in-house or agency), ideally with experience in lingerie, nightwear or swimwear.
- International experience: Preferred, as we develop the brand's presence internationally.
- Network: You have a thriving network of fashion journalists (print and online, who work at every level from assistant to director), as well as key fashion stylists.
- Communication: You will have exceptional written skills which demonstrate that you can pivot from a chic but flirty tone for, say, our Valentine's Collections, to an empathetic and authoritative tone for, say, our new Mastectomy Collection. You must be adept at writing SEO rich copy for blogs.
- Organisational skills: As we regularly host PR events for journalists, you will have strong event management skills with an eye for detail.
- Presentation skills: Whether taking a journalist for coffee or hosting an exclusive dinner for invited journalists, your presentation skills are first rate and always personable.
- Strategic Thinker: You understand the nuances of the UK high street but have an eye on the global digital landscape.
- Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deadlines with admirable coolheadedness.
