The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join Boux Avenue. This role will be reporting to the Management Accountant and will be a key member of the Finance Team. The main purpose of the role is to assist with the production of monthly management accounts to deliver a set of robust and timely financial results for the business. It will also focus on successful completion of the annual audit and proactive budgeting process. Working closely with the Management Accountant, the right person will be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment to drive process improvements and actively support a growing business.
What will the role include?
- Support the production of monthly Management Accounts including preparation of accrual & prepayment workings and posting of month-end journals.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset register, including Capex reporting and depreciation.
- Support with preparation of the annual Budget and periodic Forecasts.
- Assist with preparation of Year End deliverables, including producing Audit schedules and information for Statutory Financial Statements.
- Preparing landlord turnover certificates and submitting returns for the Office for National Statistics.
- Manage the reporting for assigned revenue channels.
- Ad-hoc tasks to meet changing business needs and departmental objectives.
What would we like to see in you?
- 1-2 years finance & accounting experience; currently studying for an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
- Ideally have experience of the retail sector, exposure to multi-site work is an advantage.
- Advanced level of spreadsheet ability essential for data manipulation (e.g. sumifs, lookups, pivot tables).
- Ability to work to tight timescales whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A team player, with good communication skills and the confidence & credibility to interact with colleagues at all levels.
